The shade of the Wuky Lamp is inspired by a necklace once worn by someone the designer used to know. Its distinctive clover-shaped form left a lasting impression, eventually becoming the starting point for a design centred around luck, symbolism and the traces that people leave behind.
The name "Wuky" combines "Wu (五)," meaning the number five in Chinese, with "Ky," derived from "Lucky" reflecting both the significance of the number five and the idea of good fortune.
The lamp carries this idea through five mirrored layers of the designer's original "Corrugated Effect". When viewed from above, the layers come together to reveal the clover silhouette, directly
referencing the necklace that first inspired its form.
