"Wuky" derived from 2 different words "五 (Wu)" which stands for the number five in Chinese and "Ky" derived from the word "Lucky". Forming "Wuky" when combined.

This lamp design concept which I brought to life is a reflection of my significant other. Built and designed around her clover shaped necklace that her mom gave her. She believed that this necklace was Lucky in the sense that it gave her hope and confidence, and 5 was her lucky number as well. I took the relevant pictures and information and transformed them into elements of the lamp.

A mirror of 5 layers of my original design concept, "Corrugated Effect" can be seen throughout the lamp. From the top, the exact shape of the clover necklace appears as I hand-drew the entire lamp outlines. And finally a hidden morse code to signify and sign off the entire piece itself. You have to feel it to understand it. This is one of the most meaningful pieces I've made, and I hope others will be able to admire this piece of work of mine as well.

MORE THAN A DESIGN.

The shade of the Wuky Lamp is inspired by a deeply personal story. Its form mirrors the clover-shaped necklace once given to the designer’s significant other by her mother. A symbol she carried as a source of luck, hope, and confidence. The name “Wuky” itself combines “Wu (五),” meaning the number five in Chinese, with “Ky,” derived from “Lucky,” reflecting both her affinity for the number five and the idea of good fortune.
The lamp carries this symbolism forward through five mirrored layers of the designer’s original “Corrugated Effect” concept. When viewed from above, the clover outline emerges, directly referencing the necklace that sparked its creation. Subtle details, including a hidden Morse code, serve as a signature woven into the piece, encouraging not just visual admiration but tactile exploration.
